Jessica’s Wedding Makeup Consultation
During Jessica’s consultation we discussed her makeup goals for her big day. We went over makeup looks that she loves and even ones that she thinks look terrible, just generally, so we make sure we’re on the same page. Then we discussed makeup color, textures and finishes. Jessica wanted a healthy, natural “glow” to her skin so I used NARS Sheer Glow Foundation and Benefit’s Highbeam to create that look. On her lips I used MiraBella Shy lipliner, NARS Barbarella lipstick and topped it off with Buxom Lipgloss by Bare Minerals. To match her coral lip color I applied a matte coral blush and a soft contour using Benefit’s Hoola bronzer. Now, for Jessica’s eye makeup, we played with two looks she was considering. First, she was thinking about a brown, natural but defined eye look. To create that look I used MAC eyeshadows in Brulee, Bamboo, Cork and Woodwinked with MAC Shimmertime pigment. For the second look Jessica wanted to try a smokey eye. (pictured) I applied MAC Soot eyeshadow over the first look and added a little MAC carbon eyeshadow to deepen the crease. Jessica does not wear makeup on a regular basis and was more comfortable with the brown look. I forgot to snap a picture of it! …I’ll upload the final look from her wedding day though so you can see. All in all, it was a good run through!
